STEUDLTENN: Theatre in a hay barn
From 30 March to 12 July 2026, a more than 700-year-old hay barn in Uderns opens its doors for the STEUDLTENN theatre festival. Here, contemporary folk theatre mingles with readings, concerts, and cabaret – with humour, pace, and a bold embrace of big emotions. It is a cultural experience that shows just how lively tradition in Zillertal still is.
Blechlawine: The brass music festival
From 4 to 7 June 2026, Mayrhofen will become the Alpine heart of brass music. At Blechlawine in Waldfestplatz Square, more than 40 groups will be performing everything from traditional folk music to modern favourites. For four days, the sound of trumpets, trombones, and flugelhorns fills the air while you enjoy Zillertal specialities and fine wines. It’s a festival that delights music lovers and connoisseurs alike.

On five Fridays from July to September, Zillertal’s Alpine huts become open-air concert stages. During Blechlawine am Berg, brass music rings out high above the valley, accompanied by panoramic views. What’s more, admission is free! Simply take the cable car up, leaving everyday life far below, and follow the sound of the music.
Finkenberg Open Air
Alpine rock fills the air, the mountains provide a dramatic backdrop, and Finkenberg reveals its most vibrant side: on 22 August 2026, the Schürzenjäger Open Air festival promises powerful live music, an electric atmosphere, and unforgettable moments. One of the event’s most stirring highlights is the legendary biker parade. As it rolls through the village, it creates a moment that sends a thrill through the crowd and stays with you long afterwards. The celebrations begin even earlier, though, with the “Hey Mann! Festl” on 19 August – the perfect opening to a festival week full of music, anticipation, and atmosphere, building towards an unmissable grand finale.
