Protecting nature
Living nature

Are you interested in conservation of natural habitats but would also like to enjoy the beauty of rugged nature?

Our hotel is one of the best hotels in Mayrhofen to explore nature and fulfill the philosophy of sustainability at the foot of the Zillertal Alps Nature Park. I, Elizabeth Pfister, nature-lover, mother, and cook know how important it is to sustain nature for future generations. My love for nature motivates me to spend time outdoors where I often hike or do yoga – it’s really essential! In this protected area of 422 km² since 1991, roads, helicopters, and cable cars are forbidden, allowing mountains, lakes, and about 80 glaciers to take their natural course – perfect for meditation! Plenty of guided walks enable you to respect your wish to care for nature and experience the wonders of rugged nature. Visitors are welcomed at Ginzling (1000 m) with an interactive exhibition and a climb to the Hochfeiler peak which takes you to an altitude of 3,509 metres. I find that the perfect opportunity to be in harmony with nature. If you are lucky, you might even see an ibex strutting deftly along a rocky ridge or climbing a steep cliff – pure wilderness!
